Forest - the movie

When I wrote "Final word on the Forest party" (below), what I meant was ... oh, never mind. Click HERE and watch the video on Friction TV.

PS. An earlier Forest video, recorded at our Revolt In Style dinner at The Savoy last summer, has been viewed 18,172 times. It features Antony Worrall Thompson, among others, and you can view it HERE.

Looked like fun!

Does anyone know who the third lady to appear in the video was? She started off saying "Good God help me, what can I do?" I think she appears again later in the video as well.

That was no lady, that was me after being 'overserved' with lovely pink cocktails.

Ah, Dunhillbabe, I wondered who you were, we did indeed speak very briefly, as I was leaving the cigar terrace.

Sorry for what might seem like some sort of secretive message, but Simon mentioned in his piece about Boisdale, that "Joyce" was looking for me, and it has been puzzling me since, to find out exactly who Joyce is.

That is the problem with sites like this, we all speak to each other, some using their real names, and others using signing on names, as you do with Dunhill Babe? But in general, we do not know what each other looks like.

When I saw the piece of film and saw you speaking, I remembered talking to you briefly as I left the cigar terrace. But, who were you, or more correctly, who are you?

I know now, that you are Dunhill Babe, and not Joyce, so the mystery remains, who is Joyce, and what was she looking for me for?

And here's one for you. Do you remember talking to me?

Peter, I'll come clean and confess that, when Simon posted that I'd been looking for you, I was equally bemused as I didn't even realise that you were attending!

That's not to say that I wouldn't have like to meet you, and others from this blog whose names are familiar but whose faces are unknown!
In fact, I did post to this effect on the RSVP thread but no-one responded and I concluded that no-one wanted to meet the raging harpy that I feel that I appear on blogs!

Thank you Joyce, are you on the video by any chance?

July 4, 2008 at 12:58 | Unregistered CommenterPeter Thurgood

Peter, I think it was me who was looking for you at the event to say hello - and no hard feelings, I hoped ...

I can't believe it, surrounded by women (my dream come true) and not knowing who's who?

July 4, 2008 at 19:48 | Unregistered CommenterPeter Thurgood

P.S. are you on the video?

July 4, 2008 at 19:49 | Unregistered CommenterPeter Thurgood

I am, but strictly in a non-speaking role! Just lots of close ups of my lines :-) I've got a purple top on, curly shoulder length hair and pink nails!!

I was hoping that you wouldn't ask that question, Peter!

Hi Peter
I regret my memory is less than clear. Were you talking to Joyce, who I came to the event with? I've pm'd you on f2c.

July 8, 2008 at 14:13 | Unregistered Commenterdunhillbabe

It isn't really that important Dunhillbabe, it's just that as I said earlier, it would be nice to be able to link faces with names that I see on here all the time.

I can now put your face to a name, so the next time I see you I will at least be able to say, "hello Dunhillbabe".

If you want to see me in the video, watch just after Nigel Farage has finished speaking, and you will see a close up of my pink shirt, and my hand holding a glass of red wine, so now I will be easily recognisable to everyone won't I?

I think that I might have spotted you in the crowd at the event itself, Peter, and I take it that you've worked out who I am on the video! Rose features throughout - obviously smoking very coolly!
