Joe Jackson on Today, tomorrow
Friday, June 29, 2007
Fingers crossed, Joe Jackson will be featured on BBC Radio 4's Today programme tomorrow morning.
An edited version of Joe Jackson's pre-recorded interview (see below) was broadcast on the Today programme at 7.35, preceded by a short blast of 'In 20-0-3'. Knowing Joe, I'm sure he will be miffed at the extent to which the interview was cut and presented (it came across as though it was part of a longer documentary rather than a stand alone report, and the rather rushed intro didn't really put it in its proper context) but - in my view - anything is better than nothing. And in the short time Joe was on air, he didn't pull his punches. To listen go HERE , scroll down and click on 0730-0800.

Looking forward to it!
Glad to hear you decided to go ahead Joe! :)
Go Joe Go!!
Will listen in. Am I now paranoid or does anyone else find it significant that only now that it's upon us are those who are opposed to the ban finally being given any real media time?
It is a token thing Joyce. All the better for them to gloat and feel self-righteous.
Joyce,
This small amount of publicity that pro smoking activist getting right now is just part of strategy to destroy any possible pro smoking movement.
As long as pro smoking movement is nonexistent any optimism is contra productive.
Talking of "gloating" Bernie, my husband and I sat outside a coffee shop this morning,in the rain but under an umbrella ejoying our coffee and cigarette prior to starting work, and a passing father took the opportunity to loudly point out to his family what sad outcasts we now are. I suppose we have a lot more of this to look forward to from tomorrow - it would certainly appear that the non smokers are not going to be magnaminous in their victory!!
Don't worry about them Wendy. Stand tall and proud in the knowledge that you never would have been, and never will be, a 'good little Nazi'. These people are utterly ignorant.
People's memories are either way too short, or they are incapable of learning from history.
Oh.. you might want to get a T-shirt with this on it :)
