I understand that, in the Wash-up period before Parliament dissolved, a bill was rushed through to force retailers into hiding tobacco products. Is there any campaign afoot to dump this once and for all? It will seriously affect small businesses, corner shops, at a time when any further burden is indefensible - and it is also a nasty little remnant of Nanny in her poorest and most punishing state.
Can we do something to ensure it is blocked, dumped, thrown out by the coalition a.s.a.p.
