Eat, drink and be merry

OK, I think I've done enough blogging this side of Christmas - and I'm sure, like me, you've got better things to do with your time.

Yet again this has been a rollercoaster year for liberals and libertarians and I hope that this blog offers a useful vehicle to express your opinions.

Occasionally - as happened last week with Keep Britain Tidy - it gives you the opportunity to speak directly to those in positions of influence.

Lest there be any doubt, I read most if not all of your comments. I may not agree with every one but they provide useful feedback for which I am grateful.

Anyway, I'd just like to wish you all a very happy Christmas. Unless something completely unforeseen happens that is worth commenting on, the next few days will be devoted to mince pies, turkey and Christmas pudding. Oh, and plenty of alcohol.

Normal service will be resumed in a few days.

Merry Christmas!

Happy Mid-Winter Fiesta to you and your family Simon.
I did a gig earlier this year and had a days rehearsal in Cambridge. Goodness was it cold. I believe Cambridge has a geographical placement which has escaped the much publicised global warming.
I mentioned to one of the players/organisers, a non smoking resident of Cambridge, that the director of Forest lived there. Her reply was that there were a lot of strange people in Cambridge.
Once again, have a warm and festive break. I look forward to 2010, when folk like you can continue the camapaign against normal people!

I second that Timbone. Anyway I going to smoke, overindulge, with plenty of fattening foods with super high colesterol levels, no excercise whatsoever and my five a day in the skip!!
Merry Christmas everyone..Enjoy!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all, no matter your faith, Christmas is still a pretty good blow out time. You have worked hard Simon over the past year and you deserve a well earned rest, (as if eh.)

Merry Christmas Simon and to all.
As we recharge our batteries in readiness for what the antis will cook up for us smokers in 2010!

Merry Christmas Simon and everyone here and best wishes to us all for a Great New Year - one of enlightenment, perhaps?

All your efforts are much appreciated Simon, so hope you manage to indulge in everything you wish to over the festive period.

Best wishes to all
Lyn

Merry Christmas to Simon and the fellow pro-choicers who post here.

It sounds like the Fun Police need to pay you a visit over Christmas, Simon. Just try not to smile too much --- it's totally unacceptable these days!

Merry Christmas to you, too, Simon. Thanks for this blog and all your courage and hard work on our behalf. Hope you and your family will have a real rest and be able to enjoy your family life. Childhood passes so swiftly. .

Merry Christmas to all my fellow warriors on here too. I so appreciate your intelligent company. Next year is the defining year!

God bless.

I echo the sentiments of all those who have posted above and wish everyone a good festive season.

We need to keep our spirits up and keep up the fight because in the New Year I anticipate a major onslaught by these fanatical, puritanical 'antis' who seem determined to make life for people like us (pro-choicers) as miserable and difficult as possible. I hope that the people who have influence and who read these postings have the sense to realise that they are causing far more problems than they are curing. Thank you to Simon and all those who are standing up for ordinary people like me who detest the erosion of our liberties. I, too, have a certain feeling about the coming year.

@Banshee - you said "Do you think that medical fellow indulges in anything over christmas? I wonder what.."

I overheard a conversation on that very subject. Someone who knows them well said that they have a bit of rumpy pumpy at Christmas. The other person replied, "what, every Christmas?"

Happy Christmas everyone.

A Joyous Yuletide to all Freedom-Lovers.........

Well it's not really beer-garden weather is it?

So, I'm stopping in with friends and people I know, having a good time.

Merry Christmas everyone.

All 45 of us would prefer to be at the pub, but if they can't cater for us, then my house will certainly do.

Sorry any landlords reading this - you could certainly have had our cash tonight - you obviously didn't want it, seeing as you're not fighting for it.

The pumps will continue to flow at my place until the current dark-ages are over.

Drink, live, smoke and enjoy life the way you wish to. We have all-sorts here - lawyers, doctors, teachers, builders, Russian negotiators, kids, unemployed, social workers, mums, dads, grandparents, landlords, GB Team athletes; mega-rich down to mega-poor.

Cheers everyone - except the PC brigade. To them I say a polite and boring 'Seasons Greetings'.

Hopefully next year we'll be back where we belong, but if we aren't all catered for, then we'll all have a good time again at the expense of the treasury; lol

Happy Christmas everyone.

Nice one, Mary !

My local USED to be like that - especially on Fridays.

Mind you, it's a GREAT place to pray - now that most of the churches around here have been pulled down/locked up/turned into Sikh temples, warehouses, or Wine Bars From Hell.

Progress - you've just gotta love it............
