Celtic 2 - 2 Dundee United

I have been to hundreds of football matches but yesterday was only my second visit to Celtic Park - and what a fabulous afternoon it was.

From 2-0 down after 60 minutes, Dundee United played Celtic off the park. In front of an almost full stadium (60,000), United not only drew level, we very nearly won the game in the closing minutes.

High up in the stands (from where I took the photo above), the small pocket of United fans were going crazy. I haven't screamed so much in years.

To put this in perspective, United haven't beaten Celtic in Glasgow since 1992. And despite the final score, this felt like a victory.

Seriously, football doesn't get much better than this. Match report HERE.

Simon, Happy New Year to you. Let me get this right, you were at Celtic Park, a Dundee United supporter and an obvious English accent?

Did you not seek the advice from the Department of Health and the Scottish Government Health Directorates on the advisability of such a trip?

Alan Johnson no doubt will be dispatching outreach workers to wag their fingers at you.
