Another fine mess

STOP PRESS: I have just been contacted by The News in Portsmouth. Apparently, the council in Fareham has made the same mistake as Stoke and is unable - for the moment - to enforce the smoking ban in local pubs and clubs. Is this the tip of a very large iceberg? How many other councils have got themselves in a similar mess? I think we should be told.

To be honest I am surprised many more councils haven't made the same mistake, most of them seem pretty useless at the best of times. I suppose many more may have made the same mistake, but are just not owning up to it! In my opinion national and local government are completely corrupt and the last thing they have on their minds is the good of the general population. I believe they take the saying 'Charity Starts at Home' extremely seriously and are only concerned with themselves!
Just a shame that all councils weren't 'ready' and not able to continue in that unready state indefinately, life would be good again!
Last night we went out with Friends, who are non smokers, but they like many others feel sorry for us smokers !! The Rules at the stations are really crazey not being allowed to smoke in the open air!! I hope that something will get done about this. Its a real nanny state. Regards Amandah
Where next if the stations are like that? Parks? Anyway good to hear of another council not enforcing!
