Dinner with destiny
Wednesday, April 18, 2007
I spent yesterday morning at the Savoy Hotel in London. Together with Ranald Macdonald of Boisdale we were negotiating the terms of what, sadly, will be an historic occasion - possibly the last major public event in England where guests can smoke indoors while they are eating, drinking and enjoying the finest entertainment! Organised by Boisdale, Forest and The Free Society, 'You Can't Do That!' will be advertised as a 'freedom dinner' with guest speakers, live music and other attractions. Provisional date: Tuesday 19th June from 7.30pm. Tickets available from 1st May. Watch this space for more details.

That will be a good night.
Definitely something to look forward to; Forest members are all so VERY pleasant! Can't wait..
I have a frock - all I need now is the invite!!
On a serious note though - what the hell is the country comming to? This is likely to be the end of my scial life from October through April thanks to the anti smoking zealots and an infatile law that prohibits my use of a legal product in a venue shared by like minded, consenting adults.
All another species are afraid of fire, only humans are able to control and to use the fire.
It’s obvious that where fire there is is is smoke. It means that humans were inhaling smoke long time before they start smoking tobacco.
Till recently in every house was open fire place used for heating of the house and for cooking a food.
In last a few decades humans living environments has undergone rapid change. Humans are able to heat house and to prepare meal without open fire by using electricity. Where no fire there is is is no smoke. For the first time in history of humans being, today humans are separated from fire and smoke.
Today only smokers and people around them are still living in environment that from recently till the down of humanity was normal humans living environment.
It is known that smoke stimulate brain and it is to conclude that inhaling smoke has made contribution to evolution of cognitive thinking.
Does anyone can imagine how smoking free environment will affect cognitive ability and mental health of the humans?
Personally I find second hand breath dangerous for human’s health but second hand smoke protects people from negative effect of second hand breath.
