Conservative conference news
Forest and The Free Society are hosting two events at the Conservative conference in Birmingham next month. The first, Voices of Freedom Live and Unleashed, will be chaired by Claire Fox of the Institute of Ideas (and Radio 4's The Moral Maze). It will feature speakers from the recent Voices of Freedom series of debates in London including Philip Davies MP, Alex Deane (Big Brother Watch) and me.
The second event is a party at The Malthouse, a large pub a short walk from the ICC and directly adjacent to Austin Court where the Voices of Freedom meeting will take place. Title: Save The Great British Pub: Your Freedom Your Choice.
Both events are on Monday October 4 so we will be distributing flyers on Sunday (afternoon) and Monday (morning and afternoon). If you are going to conference and are available for a couple of hours, please email my colleague Jacqui Delbaere.
STOP PRESS: I am pleased to say that Paul Staines (aka Guido Fawkes) has just accepted our invitation to take part in Voices of Freedom Live and Unleashed. As you may be aware, Paul/Guido has been in the news (just a bit) this week ... Expect some entertainment.

I hope it'll be suitably decked out with boarded up windows Simon.......
Ding, ding round 2 Alex Deane and Philip Davies. This appears to be another excellent debate. I have just come back from Simon Richard's, Freedom Association's, Freedom debate at UKIP' conference in Torquay where I spoke along side Alex, Phil Booth of No2ID and David Campbell-Bannerman MEP. Alex really is a great speaker.
I can't make it - but my full support
Sorry folk ,Tory conferences are of the menu, might as well go to a Fabian AGM
Give us a shout when freedom is back on the agenda.
In the meanwhile any top Tory who refuses to install true freedom will have his
private bits well aired.. Some of us true blues had hoped for an end to Marxist
control ideology, seems we were wrong, the pestilence just re arranged the roses.
Shake up time
It is sad to encounter otherwise rational people who are still convinced that authoritarianism is the exclusive property of the left.
"authoritarianism................."
Nope - it's not fussy whom it sleeps with.
And it DOES get around a lot these days..............................
