Why people should smoke and drink more
Thursday, September 2, 2010 "Russia’s finance minister has told people to smoke and drink more, explaining that higher consumption would help lift tax revenues for spending on social services." Now there's a politician I could vote for. The Daily Telegraph has the story HERE.

The Russians definately have a more Libertarian attitude than any western government,then again they have endured the disaster of big government and rejected it.
I believe it was Gorbachoev who stated I cannot believe after the fall of the Berlin wall they recreated the Sviet state in western europe ,other Russians have warned of this Vladimir Bukovksy for example who gave a speech in Brussels to that effect.
Of course none of our blinkered politicians care about this threat or are too short sited to realise it or my favourite theory, they are complicit.
