Feeling nauseous?

Too much chocolate? Too many hot cross buns? If it's any consolation, here's my friend Gary, pictured at the weekend, soon after he and his family came to stay. We're still recovering.

So the date for the election is revealed. Isn't it odd how Freudian slips occur so frequently? Just as the snouts wind themselves up to get themselves re-elected to the parliamentary trough, Simon posts a picture of excessive greed!
Tom Harris has also had a nice little Freudian slip. Just as the election date is announced, he published a blog about people who visit a supermarket and park in 'parent and child' parking places. In this piece, he used the word 'restriction' once and the word 'enforce' twice. On the eve of the election campaign, we can see therefore what thoughts are going through the mind of a labour politician (subconsciously). Interestingly, he also had another go at B & B owners who want to decide whom they allow to stay in their own homes (essentially, the post was about a particular B & B owner who refused to rent a room to a homosexual couple). He mentions the word 'regulation' twice in that post.

I like Tom Harris. He seems actually to be able to think for himself. He also supports the 'Save our pubs and clubs' campaign. But one cannot help but observe the pre-eminence of words such as 'regulation, enforcement, restriction'.

It would be lovely to see the words 'deregulation, freedom and unrestricted' for a change, wouldn't it?

Anyway, I trust that Gary enjoyed his double helping of cornets. He looks like a jolly, friendly chap. Perhaps a little overweight? Where are the obesity police when you need them?
