... and me too :))
Will the mysterious Ms Nurse please point herself out? I must have rubbed shoulders with you on a nember of occassions without ever knowing who you are?
nember is really a secret code meaning number
Can't miss me, really, Peter. I am at the front next to AWT and the blonde haired lady, next to Trevor Bayliss, who is ....?
Frederique Dupont is the glamorous fair haired lady on the other side of AWT.
So Pat, you are also No 49, the lady who I thought was advertising the Tee-Shirts?
I am No 53, (amongst others) the guy who looks like AWTs minder.
Inspired camera-dodging from me again. ;-)
I reckon you and Mr Atherton were outside having a smoke at least some of the time
Is that you in the pink shirt, Peter? I reckon we did have a chat at some point.
Moi, outside having a crafty smoke with DP?
Well since you ask, yes.
I wish that my band was famous so I could have had the money to buy an airline ticket to be there with you all!!
Cheers:-)
Great work from all the people involved in the successful launch of the Save Our Pubs & Clubs Campaign. Well done all!
Smee in the pink shirt, but I don't recall speaking to you Pat, unless it was at one of the Boisdale events maybe?
I did suggest by the way, on another thread, that we should all meet up more, to discuss matters at hand and to get to know each other better, after all we do have a very important common cause.
My suggestion was a dinner, or maybe just a drink together at Boisdale in September. Dave Atherton is up for it, anyone else? You can email me at pjthurgood@aol.com
Yes, a get together in September sounds great to me, Peter and I sincerely hope I can make it. .. I'm sure we did speak, btw,but I can't recall whether it was Boisdales or The Buckingham Arms.
Dave, you obviously weren't always outside smoking as I have spotted you in some of the pix.
Peter & Dave,
I would certainly be up for drinks at Boisdale's if someone could offer me a sofa to sleep on for the one night. Being small and slim, I take up hardly any space!
Overnight accommodation in London is a bit beyond my purse, what with the price of fags and all.
I was interested to read the conversation between Peter and Timbone regarding Nerja, having spent happy working winters there. Used to stay at The Balcon and drink at the Picasso - run by two girls. Can't imagine "No Smoking" signs up in that happy little Spanish town.
Yes, it would be good if we could all meet up. I wonder how Pat Nurse is getting on with her degree course?

I hope you can sort out somewhere to stay in London Margot, it would be so good to all meet up and introduce ourselves to each other. I am suggesting September as it gives everone plenty of time to make arrangements.
With regard to Nerja, there is only one place that I know of in Nerja which is non smoking, and that is a restaurant named El Nino. Everywhere else is a free state, so to speak, like it used to be here before New Lab.
I cannot think where the Picasso bar is in Nerja?
Peter.
With your back to the sea, Picasso was in the far right hand corner of the little square which is across the road from the Balcon. It may not still be there or could have a new name. The English girl was called Chris and the Dutch girl, Ina, I think. She was a fabulous cook and would suddenly appear with free food for all at any time of the day or night. They'd close around 4.0 am and we'd all go with them to a central night club and bop until dawn. They'd open again at mid-day. God knows how they kept it up. And, yes, I was always there dutifully with my group for breakfast in the hotel. Happy days - a long time ago.
Yes, I agree with you regarding even giving mention to the idea of a sealed smoking room. The Spanish model is best. It's also the German, French, Belgian and Dutch model- probably many other EU controlled countries too. It really is up to the proprietor to decide which sort of business he wishes to run. Only the British smokers and businesses are so ruthlessly persecuted to the detriment of our economy.
Yes, hope to see you in September.
I like your site. It is very simple and fresh, without much office. I will also design my site nice and easy as your
