Number one with a bullet

FreeSociety-150.jpg It's four days since we launched The Free Society website and if you Google the words "free society" you get 49.5 million results and TFS is ranked number one.

Apart from the UK, the site has attracted visitors from the United States, Canada, Spain, France, Australia, South Africa, Netherlands, Norway, Japan, Germany, Ireland, Hungary and more.

For the time being we intend to stay focussed on the UK, but - if you're reading this in another country - stick with us and join in the debate.

Simon -

That's great news - and something, at least, to cheer us up in these bleak times..........

Once, again, thanks for all the marvellous work you and your friends are doing in the cause of Liberty.

Let's just pray to God - or whomever/whatever you're inclined to pray to - that the Government doesn't get its grubby little paws on the Internet !

I'm really pleased to see "The Free Society". Because it's multi-issue it should attract people with different particular interests but who share concern about "Big" government. One special interest group alone can't hope to achieve a sea change but many standing together could.

I hope that visitors to the site swell so that we can move from debate to effective action.

Things aren't always what they seem. Although I'm in London, my company uses a german ISP so the authorities (and you) would think that I'm in Germany.

Just think of the potential mischief you could get up to... although it's odd to see adverts on bbc.co.uk.
