Alcohol, feminism and freedom

"Since when have women not been able to make up their minds whether to accept a drink or not?" asks Suzy Dean on The Free Society website. "Proposed government policy aimed at reducing the amount of alcohol that women in particular drink suggests that it should be illegal for bars to give women free drinks, that restaurants and bars should serve wine in glasses with clear marks to show the volumes being consumed and that happy hour promotions should be curbed."

Just using this to add my sympathy and good wishes for a speedy recovery from the kidney stone trouble. You do perhaps have too much activity & stress and too many deadlines to meet. One can imagine that you don't find time or space to eat and drink properly either. I hope you can find some way of having it dissolved - and quickly too.

Please heed the warning signs that this kidney stone brings. Try to ease up a bit and be kinder to yourself. We only have one Simon Clark.
