Coming soon to a town near you

I have just got back from Bristol where I was interviewed (in a pub, where else?) for a series of smoking-related items to be broadcast by BBC South West in the run-up to the smoking ban. Similar requests have been coming in from all over the country so I expect to be on the road quite a bit over the next few weeks. If you have strong views about the ban and would like to have your say on local TV or radio, drop me a note.

For those of you that may not know, Banff is in Soviet Scotland.

If you head up to the wilds of Yorkshire I may wish to air a few views. I now live in the Liberal Democratic Republic of Knaresborough, not far away from Harrogate, where all 15 town council seats and all 6 district council seats are held by anti-smoking pillars of respectability. (Our local Lib Dem MP recently spoke out in favour of the blanket smoking ban and his views were printed in our local paper.) This area is a snoopers' paradise!
